Owain Glyndwr’s Rebellion 1400-12
Owain Glyndwr was a member of the Welsh gentry who revolted against the English king Henry IV in 1400. He established a Welsh parliament at Machynlleth in 1404 and was the last Welshman to proclaim himself Prince of Wales. He was eventually defeated and no more was heard of him after 1412.
